Dr. Andrew Mendenhall
Dr. Mendenhall is a graduate of Oregon Health and Science University, class of 2000. He completed his residency in 2003 in the Department of Family Medicine at OHSU and continued his training in 2004 as Clinical Leadership Fellow. Dr. Mendenhall moved to Newberg, OR in 2004 and began work as an employed full-spectrum Family Medicine physician. During his tenure in Newberg, Dr. Mendenhall was contracted to work at Hazelden’s Springbrook residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
Dr. Mendenhall has expertise in medical detoxification and draws parallels between the care needs of addiction medicine and pain management patients who are dependent on opiates. Dr. Mendenhall has board certification by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Mendenhall pursued advanced training in Spinal Diagnostics and continued developing his outpatient practice of “Neurobehavioral Pain Management.” Dr. Mendenhall’s clinical interests include General Addiction Medicine, Opiate Detoxification, Interventional Pain Management (refers to proceduralists), Spine Pain, Regional Neuropathic Pain and Headache.
Dr. Mendenhall was a founding partner of HealthworksNW which has become the Hazelden outpatient clinic in Beaverton, Oregon.
