Jeffrey Moore, LPC
In 2006 Jeffrey completed his Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Shortly after graduating he moved to Portland, Oregon to pursue a life long dream of living in the Pacific Northwest. Jeffrey began working for Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare upon moving to Portland and worked there from 2006 through 2010. During his time there he provided counseling case management services to patients diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness involved in various residential programs. From January 2010 to December 2011, Jeffrey provided outpatient mental health services to patients at CODA, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. During his time there Jeffrey provided outpatient counseling and case management to patients with co-occurring substance dependence.
Jeffrey’s strengths and experience in counseling include working with individuals diagnosed with Anxiety Disorders (PTSD, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Mood Disorders (Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder), Psychotic Disorders (Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder), Personality Disorders (Borderline Personality Disorder) and Substance Dependence. Jeffrey’s approach to counseling includes evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Jeffrey enjoys studying history of medicine and psychiatry in his free time, as well as pedaling the backroads in and around the Pacific Northwest.
